Josephine Mary Casteel

Our beautiful mother and grandmother,
Josephine Casteel sadly passed away
April 26th, 2024 at the age of 87.
We were blessed to have her in her home with us,  and know she was at peace.
Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandma who was always there when we needed her.
Our mother took great pride in her 30 years of service with the Tacoma News Tribune , and made many close friend's.
She also loved her group of friends in the
British Wife’s Club, where they could all reminisce growing up in England.
Her passion for music and theatre ranged from
Barbra Streisand to Lady Gaga. (She seen them both in concert) Our mom had a lovely spirit and was never afraid to have some fun!
We know she was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband
Richard Casteel , and her brother Ivan Clayton.
She is survived by her three girls , Mary, Rebecca and Josephine. Her grandchildren,
Robbie and Meme, Andy and Annie, Scott ,
Richard and Arianna, Ashley and Austin, and
David and Madison. And her Great Grandchildren
Gavin and Noah.
At this time we have not planned a celebration of our mother’s life, but will post here on this site when we do .
