Obituary JOSEPH O. LASBY SR., M.D. Dr. Joseph O. Lasby Sr. passed away Monday, February 6, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 9, 1912 in Townsend, Montana and had graduated from the University of Montana. He went on to receive his M.D. from the University of Minnesota graduating Alpha Omega Alpha. He performed his residency in New York City during the Harlem Renaissance and then went on to start his practice and his family in Tacoma, Washington where he was a Surgeon and General Practice Doctor for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Geraldine Lasby, his parents, a brother and a sister. He is survived by his 8 children, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank his Catholic Community Services Caregivers and the staff of Franciscan Hospice. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 10, 2006, 12:10 p.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church. Inurnment at Calvary Cemetery.
