Obituary Joseph "Mike" Kearney 1941 ~ 2009 Mike passed away of heart failure April 26, 2009. Mike, retired U.S. Air Force Air Traffic Controller and Vietnam Veteran, Served his country proudly for over 20 years. His passion was his family and the time he spent volunteering as the manager of the American Lake Veterans Golf Course, which provides Veterans rehabilitation through golf. Mike is survived by his wife Charlotte of 49 years, children Dave, Jay, Joe, Dan, Julie and Jeff; their spouses; 12 grandchildren; and Sister Maryann. He is now in the loving embrace of his first born daughter Donna. Mike will be honored at a Funeral Mass on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 9:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Tacoma, Reception immediately thereafter. Interment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA at 2:00 pm. Viewing will be on Sunday, May 3rd from 12:00 ?" 6:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home.
