Joseph Bernard Hamilton

Obituary Joseph B. Hamilton, 79, died August 13, 2009 in Tacoma of complications following heart surgery. He was born September, 29, 1929 in Rome, Kentucky. Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan, sons Daniel (Diane) and Thomas (Amy), daughter Kathleen (Wesley) and sisters Augustine and Myrtle (Leo). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Joe was raised in Tacoma and resided in Eatonville for 47 years before returning to Tacoma. Joe was a graduate of Bellarmine Prep and the University of Washington. Joe shared his love of life with family and friends. He enjoyed snow skiing, drag racing, vintage cars, and driving his new convertible. A Rosary will be held Monday, August 17, 2009 at 7 pm Gaffney's Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave., Tacoma. A memorial service will be held at the St. John of the Woods Catholic Church, 9903 24th Ave. E., Tacoma, WA 98445 at 11 am on Tuesday, August 18, 2009.
