John Tony Villari

Obituary John Villari John Villari, born June 25, 1920 to Giacomo and Rosalia Villari, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on April 18, 2007, in University Place, WA. He spent much of his life in the sunshine of Orange County, California. He worked in construction and sales, was a small business owner, and as the Controller for Hike Apoian's Lincoln-Mercury Dealership in Garden Grove. John followed his youngest daughter to Washington in 1995, and the small paradise of Anderson Island became his new home. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, sister, Nancy Vidmar of Solon, Ohio, his loving children, from La Habra, CA, son, Anthony Villari (Michele), daughters, Linda Burnett (Malcom) and Fran Parpala (Dave), daughter, Rosalie Marcantonio (Marc), of Steilacoom, WA, his step-children, Michael McGaha, Camas, WA, and Pat Soertart (Denny), Estacada, OR, loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed baseball, boxing, horse racing, Seinfeld, mini-marshmallows and glazed doughnuts, but most of all, his family. He will be forever missed and loved by his family and his many friends for the wonderful and gentle man that he was. There were no limits to his thoughtfulness, kindness, or his generosity. He will be remembered for his unselfish and caring nature and remain an example to us all. During his life on Earth, John followed Christ, and through God's Grace, he will now watch over us from Heaven. In honor and celebration of his life, funeral services will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 Fullerton Road, Rowland Heights, CA, on April 27, 2007 at 1 PM. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 26, 2007, between the hours of 3-8:00 PM, with the Rosary recited at 7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the Anderson Island Community Clubhouse on April 28, 2007 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anderson Island Christian Fellowship, Anderson Island, WA, St. Joseph's Medical Center, Tacoma, WA, or the Franciscan Hospice Home, University Place, WA.
