Obituary John Treat Died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at home in Tacoma, WA. He was born 10/30/38 to Lester Treat and Elsie Baker Treat at Yale Community Hospital in New Haven, Ct. He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son, Brian Treat. John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lenore Treat and their son Christopher (Marnie) Treat, also of Tacoma. He has one granddaughter, Isabella Francine Treat. John was an extended member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS) of the Blessed Trinity Community in Fife, WA. Mr. Treat was also a member of Holy Rosary Church in Tacoma, WA. John had a long career in the nursing field and enjoyed volunteering his time with the sick and handicapped. He enjoyed time with his family, especially his granddaughter. He was a man of great faith who was loved and well respected by everyone who knew him. Services for John will be held on Saturday, June 19 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Gaffney Funeral Home. Father Ed White will officiate. A special thank you to the Oncology Department at St. Joseph's Hospital, and to the wonderful Hospice caregivers who ministered to John. Your kindness and consideration will always be remembered.
