John Thomas Paine

Obituary John Thomas Paine John Thomas Paine, 29, of Kalispell, Mont., passed away on March 2, 2013 from injuries sustained from a car accident outside of Kalispell. He was born on January 19, 1984 in Nashville, Tenn. John grew up in Redmond, Wash., and graduated from Redmond High School in 2002. He was an avid sports fan and played sports competitively in his youth. John was also an excellent snow skier and later became an accomplished extreme in-line skater. He also loved golf as an adult. John served his country as a combat soldier in the Army Infantry, proudly serving in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He spent his last two years in Kalispell, where he made many great friends and enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all, John was a kind, generous and compassionate man who deeply loved his family, friends and country. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Penny Jacobson-Everhart, and her husband, Tom of Grapeview, Wash., (formerly of Redmond); his father, Tom Paine and his wife, Terrie of Seattle, Wash., (formerly of Redmond); his sister Alison Paoli and her husband Travis of Seattle and their daughter Stella (who John referred to as his "princess"); and his grandfather Chet Paine of Wenatchee, Wash. He is also survived by grandparents John and Marion Galletti of Hollywood, Fla., and Allan and Rita Lawson of Seattle; stepbrothers Brandon O'Quin of Redmond; Kyle O'Quin of Portland, OR; and stepsister Laura O'Quin of Seattle. In addition, John is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many loyal friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 1001 North J St., Tacoma Wash., at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013. It will be followed by a reception and a funeral procession to Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma.
