John L. Nofzinger

Obituary John Lantz Nofzinger Age 75, passed away on April 8, 2016, surrounded by family. He was born in Seattle to Vernon and Evelyn Nofzinger, April 28,1940. John graduated from the University of Puget Sound, and began his career in the grocery products industry with Nalley's Fine Foods. He moved on to the Carnation Company, and retired after 23 years. He then began working for Con-Agra, retiring in 2005. John loved living in the Puget Sound area, having a boat from a young age, enjoying water sports and salmon fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son John Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, his daughter Cathryn (Harry) Westcott, and three grandchildren, Connor, Emma, and Ian. John loved his family, summers on Fox Island, Septembers in Hawaii, and driving the Oregon coast. He lived life to the fullest. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo church Friday, April 15, 2016, at 11:00 am, 7112 S. 12th Street, Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Food Bank.
