John F Leahy Jr.

John F. “Jack” Leahy, Jr., 88, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on May 4, 2023.

Jack was born on December 1,1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and St. Joseph’s College (B.S.). In 1957 he enlisted in the U.S. Army followed by service in the National Guard of Pennsylvania. Jack married Anne F. (Smith) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 17, 1960. After a successful career in marketing and sales in the pharmaceutical industry, Jack enjoyed a second career in real estate before his retirement.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife Anne F. Leahy and his sister Rosemary C. Leahy. He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Lori) and John (Jeanne), his daughters, Elizabeth Leahy and Rosemary (Stephen) Raynolds, and seven grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at St. Leo Church, Tacoma, Washington. Preceding mass, visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and the rosary will be held before mass. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Federal Way, Washington. Funeral arrangements are by Gaffney Funeral Home, Tacoma, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camilla Hall in Chester County, Pennsylvania are encouraged.
