Obituary John Daly John Daly was born on April 24, 1924 in Limerick, Ireland and passed away on April 8, 2014. He retired from ASARCO in 1985 after more than 35 years of service. John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Kathleen; sister, Mary Carey; and brothers, Dan Daly and Con Daly. He is survived by his three children, Deidre (Scott) Daly-Fredrickson, Maureen (Paul) Hamilton, and John (Gina) Daly and family; sisters, Nora Boze, and Kathleen Cremins; three grandchildren, Daniel, Erin and Sarah who he dearly loved; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the charity of your choice in John's honor. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10:30am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 6:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel.
