Obituary Jesse W. Price, Jr. Jesse W. Price, Jr. was born on April 11, 1940 in Longleaf, LA and passed away peacefully at Madigan Army Medical Center on October 3, 2014. Our Father was raised in Port Arthur, TX where he attended Abe Lincoln High School. Jesse joined the Army and proudly served for 21 years before retiring as an E-8 Master Sergeant at Fort Lewis Military Post. Jesse was previously married to Ellana Morgan-Price and Gloria Dawson. Jesse began his Prince Hall Masonic career in Egyptian Lodge #44 in Tacoma, WA in 1970. He served in many capacities both appointed and elected. He was elected as Worshipful Master in 1973. He was appointed to the Prince Hall Grand Lodge in the State of Washington and its jurisdiction in 1974. He served in numerous capacities and was later deployed to Europe where he established the first Masonic Lodge and the beginning of historic District #9. Upon his return to Washington, RW Price served in numerous positions within the Grand Lodge; most noted was that of Grand Lecturer and Grand Marshal. He was later recognized by being made Honorary Past Grandmaster in the Washington Jurisdiction in 2005. Bro. Price became a member of Cascadian Consistory #75 in Tacoma, WA in 1971. He served as Second Lieutenant Commander in 1982, First Lieutenant Commander in 1983, and Commander in Chief in 1984-1985. Illustrious Price was also honored by received the 33rd and last degree in Masonry in 1992 in Nassau, Bahamas. He became a member of Yemen Temple #152 in 1971 and was also a member of Esther Chapter #27, Order of the Eastern Stars. He is survived by his sister, Mary R. Lindsey (Cordell) of Port Arthur, TX; son, Craig W. Price (Elisa) of Tacoma, WA; daughters, Jessandra Love and Natasha Bertucci (Cosmo), both of Tacoma, WA; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Our Father was a very loving and kind person. "P.J. loved to be in full control of everything at hand". We loved our father, and will miss him so much. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 10:00am at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Tacoma, WA followed by a Graveside Service with full military honors at 1:30pm at Tahoma National Cemetery.
