Obituary Jerome Louis Parr Jerome Louis Parr was born in Wentzville, Missouri, October 27, 1919. Jerry peacefully departed this year on September 1, at the age of 88 coinciding with the same day historic signing on the USS Missouri that ended WWII having served two military tours of duty in WWII and the Korean War as master sergeant in the 204th Field Artillery Battalion. Settling in Tacoma, Jerry worked as a transit driver for Pierce County 34 years while enjoying a lifetime membership with the Paul Bunyan Rifle and Pistol Club with son Michael. He loved most in life their family camping and fishing vacations to Missouri through the great Southwest Canyons and special gatherings with dear friends and family in Tacoma and Yakima. Jerome is survived by his beloved by his beloved wife, Delores, of 61 years, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Barbara Parr, brother Kenneth, four nieces and a nephew in Missouri and Minnesota. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 9th, 2008, 11:00 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Tacoma. Rosary will be recited, Monday, September 8th, 2008, 7:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.GaffneyCares.com.
