Obituary Jerome J. (Jerry) Donion, lifelong resident of Tacoma, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2009, at Kline Galland Home. Before his illness, Jerry was an active member for many years of Temple Beth El and B'Nai Brith, who honored him with their Akiba Award. He received a Community Service Award from the City of Tacoma for his volunteer work. Jerry spent many years as an active member of the Tacoma Elks Lodge. He attended Stadium High School and served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WW II. Small in size he had a big heart and was an outstanding athlete in all sports. Preceded in death by beloved wife Mary, he is survived by sons E. Gary (Cynthia) and Ronald; grandchildren, Gina Anstey (Tim), Joshua Donion (Yuliya Gorbanova), and Mark Donion, and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Elise Anstey; sisters Adele Goldman (Sam), Carole Collier (Wayne), Janet Gallwas, and uncle Sig Friedman. Graveside services at Home of Peace Cemetery, Tacoma, Monday, May 25, 2009 at 12:00 o'clock noon. Reception following Temple Beth El, Tacoma.
