Obituary Jeanne was born on July 3, 1914 in Chewelah, Washington to Albert and Marie Kulzer. She passed away in Tacoma on November 28, 2013 at the age of 99. Â She attended St. Mary's of the Rosary Catholic Elementary and Jenkins High School in Chewelah, graduating in 1931, valedictorian of her class. She attended Washington State College in Pullman, Washington and graduated in 1935 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and was honored with a Phi Beta Kappa membership. Â After graduating from college she moved to Tacoma, Washington to work as a social worker. In Tacoma she met Charles T. "Chuck" Pearson, an Architect who became one of the Principals in the Partnership of Lea Pearson and Richards. Jeanne married Chuck on August 1, 1940. Â Jeanne was active in Junior League, Catholic Community Services, Orthopedic Guild, Holy Cross School Mothers' Club, Bellarmine High School Philomathea Club, Catholic Woman's Club and other organizations. She enjoyed playing Bridge, doing crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family, especially at the cabin at Priest Lake Idaho. Â Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, Judge Albert Kulzer and Marie Kulzer, and her husband Chuck Pearson. She is survived by her four children, Charles A. "Cap" Pearson of Tacoma, Thomas W. Pearson of Shelton, Ann P. Bowling (Danny) of Edgewood and Donald L. Pearson (Marge) of Tacoma; and her five grandchildren, Nathan C. Bowling (Erica) of Seattle, Hannah J. Hanley (Rory) of Tacoma, Sarah W. Bowling of Seattle, Neil T. Pearson of Tacoma, and Charles E. "Chas" Pearson of Tacoma. She is also survived by a niece and several cousins. Â The family would like to thank all of the staff at Recollections and Laurel House at Narrows Glen for the wonderful care and support she received over the past seven and a half years. Â A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 5510 North 44th Street, Tacoma, WA 98407. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
