Janice Margaret D'Andrea

Obituary Janice M. D'Andrea passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at the age of 82. She was born Janice Margaret Cates on March 28, 1925 in Elma, WA to the late John "Leslie" Cates and Lorraine Katherine Armstrong West. She grew up in Olympia, WA and married John (Jack) D'Andrea, Jr. of Ironwood, MI on February 26, 1944 in Oakland, CA while Jack was in the Navy during WWII. She was preceded in death by her only sibling, Marie Jacqueline McCarty, and 2 of her grandchildren: Jerry Lin Mansfield and Tiffany Bell Gaunt. She is survived by her three children: Sandra Mansfield of Salt Lake City, UT, Sharon Moore of Beaverton, OR, and Ron D'Andrea of Rocklin, CA; son-in-law William Moore and daughter-in-law Carrie D'Andrea; 5 grandchildren, Kerry Flinders, Tyna Moore, Jeff Mansfield, Travis D'Andrea, and Stephanie D'Andrea; and 4 great-grandchildren and her nephew William R. McCarty of Olympia, WA. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, WA. She will be inurned next to her beloved husband John D'Andrea, Jr., who passed away on March 27, 1999. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
