October 3, 1912 — May 20, 2009

Obituary JANE GREIWE BARLINE MOOSEY Jane Greiwe Barline Moosey, 96, born October 3, 1912, passed away after a full and wonderful life on May 20, 2009. Jane was the beloved wife of Dean Barline for 23 beautiful and fun filled years until his passing. Thereafter, Jane met Dr. George A. Moosey and they had a beautiful 20 years of marriage until his passing in 1987. Jane was the mother of Jean Pentimonti (Eugene), John D. Barline (Sally), Mary Alice Weigand (Gary), and Janet Stray (deceased). Jane was the oldest of six Greiwe children: Elizabeth Weaver (deceased); Richard Greiwe; Ann Louise Soper Petrich; Paul Greiwe; and William Greiwe. Jane is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jane grew up in Tacoma and then lived for over 50 years in the Gig Harbor area. She graduated from St. Patrick School, Aquinas Academy and the College of Puget Sound where she was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was the past president of the Tacoma Catholic Women's Club, a member of the Vera Davis Orthopedic Guild, amongst other organizations. From 1962 to 1967 Jane worked for the Catholic Children‘s Service in Tacoma (Director from 64-67). She truly enjoyed this work ?" especially finding good loving homes for babies seeking adoption and children needing foster parents. For almost 20 years Jane was the volunteer Eucharistic minister every Sunday at St Joseph Hospital. In fact, she was awarded its Volunteer of the Year Peer award in 2005 at the age of 93. Jane was a gift to all who knew her. She had a way of making people feel special, at ease, and at peace. It was as though she was a human angel from the Lord. She will be truly missed by her loving family and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30am Monday May 25 at St Nicholas Catholic Church, Gig Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jane's name to the St. Nicholas Catholic School to be held in her endowment for tuition scholarships. Please leave online www.gaffneycares.com .
