Obituary James Monroe Deason II November 24, 1950 - January 22, 2007 Jim Deason, beloved husband, father, brother and Grandpa Squirrel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Jim served 21 years in the Army as a soldier and helicopter pilot. He then pursued his second love, teaching accounting at Pierce College. Jim was an adventurous man whose passions were his family (especially his grandchildren), exotic travels, golf and cooking. Jim was a life long learner who loved to read. If you ever need a trivia answer, Jim was the one to ask. Jim is survived by his wife, Gail; three daughters: Jennifer (Mark) Hasenauer, Stephanie (Lance) Hayes and Danielle (Shawn) Hasenauer, six beloved grandchildren: Austin, Mackenzie, Jakob, Lauren, Mason and Carson; sisters: Janet Bryan and Dianne (Dick) Cochran; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A rosary will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 27 with the funeral mass at 11:00 am both at St. John Bosco Church in Lakewood, Washington. A reception will follow mass. In lieu of flowers, remembrances given to the family will be donated to the Madigan Foundation and designated for the Oncology Department in Jim's name.
