James L. Daly

Obituary James L. Daly, 84, long time resident of Lakewood, Washington, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Jim was born June 14, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. After graduating from the University of Michigan, following his passion for medicine he joined the Navy and then the US Air Force serving a total of 40 years. In 1957 he met and married the love of his life Betty Heminger whom in 2006 preceded him in death. He was an avid reader, loved hiking biking, woodcarving, theater, movies and was a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Mariners. Jim is survived by his daughter, Linda (Don) Bethke, two grandsons, Chris (Etsuko) Bethke, Scott Bethke and 3 great grandsons, Jiro, Kota and Eita Bethke. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 5th at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave., Tacoma, Washington. Pastor Rich Sewell of Lake City Community Church of Lake City, Washington who Jim was a long time member will be officiating. Private entombment will be held at the Tacoma Mausoleum & Mortuary.
