James M Callahan

Obituary James W. Callahan was born on July 28, 1943 in Tacoma, Washington. He passed away on June 7, 2016 in University Place, Washington at the age of 72. Jim was a lifelong resident of Dash Point and Northeast Tacoma. He spent many decades with the Tacoma School District and retired from Brown's Point Elementary. His family and his cars were his passion. Jim was a low-key guy of few words, but his bright yellow Corvette painted a different statement for and about him. He was preceded in death by his younger brother and his parents. He leaves a family of two sons, Patrick and Brian; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the loving, compassionate support of the Davita Dialysis team in Federal Way, St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Franke Tobey Jones Retirement and Franciscan Hospice House in University Place.
