Jama Schiavon Simi

March 22, 1910 — August 13, 2006

Obituary Jama S. Simi Jama was born in Guelf, Canada on March 22, 1910 and died in Tacoma on August 13, 2006. She moved to Montana in 1913, and later married and moved to Tacoma in 1928. Jama worked for Sears for many years, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic church for over 75 years. Jama enjoyed her frequent trips to Montana to visit family and friends as well as playing pinochle at the many different senior centers she would visit. Jama was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Simi; her only son Raymond Simi and his wife Betty. She is survived by her grandchildren, Patricia (Gary Caputo) Lee, Michael Simi, Robert (Marrianne) Eakes and Stanley Simi; sister in law, Minnie Baldi; great-grandchildren, Christopher (Yvette) Lee, Rickie Caputo, Sean (Laci) Caputo, Jason Caputo; great-great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jessica, Jackson, Paris and Vienna. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jama will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 18, 2006 11:00 am Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 512 So. 30th St. Tacoma, WA 98402; the Rosary will be recited prior to mass at 10:30 am also at the church. Entombment in Calvary Cloisters.
