Obituary Hugh Anthony Larkin MD Hugh was born under a lucky star, the sixth of ten children. Endowed with many natural gifts, he excelled in athletics as a youth and rose to positions of leadership among his peers while at Bellarmine Prep. As he matured, he acquired a hunger for learning, devouring books that revealed the mysteries of the universe. He earned his MD from the University of Washington and compassionately treated countless patients during the most difficult and trying times of their lives. Hugh had a great and enduring love for music. He was developing plans for a nonprofit clinic for musicians when disease interrupted his life. Hugh passed away after receiving a diagnosis of Young Onset Alzheimer's Disease. He was 61. He is survived by his two sons, Dillon and Max, his wife Beth, who he loved since he was just 15, 9 brothers and sisters, 18 brothers and sisters-in-law, and a vibrant family of nieces, nephews, and their children. He considered his relationships with family and friends the most gratifying area of his life, always finding joy in the most childlike moments. His life will be commemorated on Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at The Inn at Gig Harbor at 1:00 P.M.
