Hudson ("Huddy") Joseph Marston passed away on August 18, 2022, in Houston, Texas at Texas Children's Hospital due to complications from t-cell leukemia.
Huddy was born on July 20, 2013, in Tacoma, Washington, lived in Gig Harbor, and attended school at St. Charles Borromeo. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Danielle Marston, his brother, Hunter Marston, and his grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Huddy had recently turned nine and was excited to come back from Texas and light off all the fireworks he was unable to light off on the Fourth of July and see his family and friends that he had been unable to see during his hospitalization. He missed his dogs, Nora and Duchess, and he had told us he had married Nora, so we would have to keep her. He missed cooking at home with family and going up to the mountains to go swimming, play board games, and go on long walks.
Huddy was an old soul who enjoyed listening to jazz and Frank Sinatra with his older brother and wanted to learn to play the piano. He was a beautiful, caring, sweet, and goofy child with an infectious smile and beautiful, warm, brown eyes with dark, long eyelashes that could melt away your worries and make you feel at peace. He was a true momma's boy who adored and loved his mom and would worry about her even during his fight with cancer. At night, when he slept with his parents, he would cuddle with his mom or would often simply hold his father's hand while they all drifted off to sleep listening to music.
Huddy loved having his older brother always with him to play video games or hangout together. He especially loved his brother's positive energy on the long days in the hospital. Hunter and Huddy were inseparable and best friends. He would always give his school teachers hugs and would have the sweetest voice when saying hello or goodbye to his friends and family. He was caring to a fault and loved to give gifts to the people he loved. Hudson's smile, his beautiful eyes, his wit, his humor, his kindness, his strength that he gave to us, and his love for his family and friends we will forever cherish.
