On Good Friday, April 7, 2023, Joseph Hoach Van Ngo, loving husband, father of six children, and grandfather of thirteen, was called home by God.
Joseph was born on May 5, 1940 in Bac Ninh, a province located north of Hanoi, Vietnam. Together with his wife of 59 years, Anne Qui Pham, they survived two wars, immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s, and raised six wonderful children, three boys and three girls.
Joseph had a passion for running. He loved to get up with the sunrise and run his favorite routes before settling in for the day. He also loved working with his hands, creating beautiful objects and tinkering with small machinery. He can fix almost anything. He is known for his quiet strength, his devotion to God, his dedication to his family, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Anne; his six children, Quang (Phi), Minh (Kim), Hanh (Travis), Huong (Lai), Hien (Karen), Mary Ann (Vannak); thirteen grandchildren, Jonathan, Andy, Dustin, Victor, Jacob, Brian, Ben, Devin, Kyler, Hailey, Kailee, Eloise, and Naomi; two younger brothers in Vietnam and a younger sister who resides in Everett.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tacoma, WA, at 12:10pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Leo Food Bank.
With Gratitude,
