Obituary Hideo James Kinoshita May 9, 1912 - March 11, 2006 Jim was born in Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Fife High School in 1930. He was offered a college athletic scholarship but declined in order to help support his family. He opened the Kinoshita Produce Company in 1938 and married Reiko Sally Morihiro in 1940. The couple was interned at the onset of World War II in Minidoka, Idaho. They returned and re-established the business in Fife in 1946. After his retirement in 1973, Jim enjoyed golfing and traveling the world with Sally. During his 93 years he was known and beloved as a hard - working, generous person. He found his greatest pleasure celebrating family get-togethers and events. On behalf of his children, Jim will always be remembered as a loving, caring and devoted father and husband. Jim was preceded in death by his son, Robert Anthony. He is survived by his loving wife, Sally, daughters Kathleen Boitano (Louie), Geri Markham (Irv), Margaret Hannula (Dan), Lisa Kinoshita, and son Jim Kinoshita (Pokey). Grandchildren include Kristine Echigo, Jamie and Sandi Kinoshita, Jolene Maughan, Janelle Markham, Holly, Adam and Ben Hannula, and great-grandchildren, Kieran Byrne, Sydni, Emma, and Lorin Maughan, and Jack Nims. A private family service will be held. A Celebration of Jim's Life will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2006, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Fife Community Senior Center at 2111 - 54th Avenue East in Fife.
