Obituary Helen Scott Clarence Verlo Born April 17, 1908 in Ashtabula, Ohio passed peacefully at home in Tacoma on September 16, 2009. She spent her early childhood in Butte, Montana and moved to Tacoma as a teenager. She married her first husband, John W. Clarence in 1928 and had two children, Patricia M. Fengler (Kenney) and John S. "Bud" Clarence (Barbara). After the passing of her first husband she married Didrick B. Verlo in 1948. She then had two more children, Cindy L. Eiger (Patrick) and Didrick M. "Rick" Verlo. Other surviving relatives include her sister Grace Antush, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Her two husbands, three sisters, Mary Snider, Agnes Olsen and Rosemary Scott, one brother, Paul Scott and grandson Kurt Fengler preceded her in death. Celebration of her 101-year long life will be on Saturday, September 26, 2009, 11am at St. Leo's Church, 710 S. 13th St., in Tacoma. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Helen's memory to the charity of your choice.
