Obituary Helen Louise Zehnder Cole December 14, 1925-October 23, 2007 Our loving mother and cherished grandmother died in Cupertino, California after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Sumner, Washington to Richard and Bertha Zehnder. Helen was a proud and loyal graduate of Sumner High School, Class of 1943, and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1947. She moved to California in 1955, and resided in the San Jose area for the past 52 years. Helen is survived by her daughters Judy Manza (Pat), Nancy Boyle (Phil), Mary Estrada (Mike); twenty grandchildren: Maria, Andy, Peter, Marissa, Tim and Joey Manza, Stacie, Melanie, Katie, Michael, Annie and Amie Boyle, Michelle, Matthew and Megan Wadleigh, Miguel, Monique, Linda, Tommy and Luke Estrada; her sister Lela Defazio, her brother Cot Zehnder (Joann) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 28 at 5:30 p.m. with rosary following at 7:30 p.m., both at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 South Yakima, Tacoma. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 29 at 9 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, 1401 Valley Avenue, Sumner. Interment at Sumner City Cemetery immediately following ceremony.
