Obituary Helen E. Brady was born April 20, 1919 to John and Harriet Honvlez and died October 23, 2005. She was raised on McKinley Hill with many hours spent playing tennis at the playground. She graduated from St. Leo's High School and went to work at Standard Rubber in Seattle. She married Wm. (Bill) Brady, moved to Brown's Point and raised four children: Jack, Linda, Dan and Ric. Helen was active in the PTA, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, founded the Hyada Chapter of Tacoma Orthopedic Guild. She worked for J.L. Darling Corp., co-owned Food Arts, managed properties for United Homes and did bookkeeping for Willis Marketing. She enjoyed many years escorting tour groups for Linda's World Travel, WSU Traveling Cougars and EverActive and spent many hours working to be a best friend to all she knew. She was predeceased by husband William, and Jack, killed in Vietnam, and is survived by Daniel (Barbara) Brady, Richard (Debbie) Brady, and Linda Finch; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest. A quick sense of humor and a helping hand were with her to the end. Memorials should be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at 10:30 am at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Federal Way; Rosary will be recited Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel.
