Obituary Helen Marie Avery Helen Marie Avery passed away on July 10, 2013. She was born in Stockett, Montana on April 27, 1913. Her family moved to Tacoma shortly after WWI where she met and married her husband Douglas in 1932. Helen's family spent twenty years in New Jersey from 1954 - 1975. Helen was employed during this period by Macy's where she rose from part time clerk to a multi department manager. After the death of her mother in 1975, she moved back to Tacoma where she spent her remaining years. Helen was preceded in death by her husband in 1991 and her oldest son Douglas in 2013. She is survived by her son Donald and his wife Peggy; grandchildren, Dawn, Douglas and Krystle; great-grand-children, Nicole, Caleb and Benjamin as well as several nieces and nephews.
