Obituary Hedwig L. Kasjan Jan. 26, 1921 - Jan. 27, 2013 "DEATH IS NOT THE EXTINGUISHING OF A LIGHT; IT IS PUTTING OUT THE LAMP BECAUSE THE DAWN HAS COME." -Tagore- Our mother Hedy passed into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by her family, on January 27, 2013. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who lived her life loving, caring, and being supportive of the needs of others. A master gardener, she enjoyed nurturing the beauty and essence of nature, as well as all that was around her. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and supported many charities. Hedy was preceded by Andrew, her husband of 54 years. Her memory is cherished by Stania, Lillian, and Marisha Kasjan, and Mark Sanders.
