Harold Frederick Phillips

Obituary Harold Fredrick Phillips, born Sept. 8, 1914 in Southampton, Long Island, New York died March 23, 2007 in Tacoma. He was the oldest and last surviving of the five children born to Fredrick and Elsie Phillips. Harold was an Army veteran of WWII and a retired plumbing contractor. He was an area resident since 1980. A true extrovert, always upbeat and positive, Harold made friends easily and often. Harold loved sports especially Golf and Horse Racing. He kept his mind sharp with sports facts and statistics right up until the end. Harold was preceded in death by his wife Eileen of 51 years in 1997 and is survived by sons; Harold J. Phillips, Tacoma, Richard F. Phillips, Gainesville, FL; five grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family would like to thank staff and many friends at Narrows Glen, as well as the staffs of Tacoma Lutheran Home and Allenmore Hospital for their friendship care and support. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 9:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Internment at New Tacoma Cemetery.
