Gwendolyn Elizabeth Babare

Obituary Gwen passed away peacefully on November 3rd with her family at her bedside. She was born Gwendolyn Elizabeth Keely on February 7th, 1923 to Josephine Schaefer and Byron Keely. She graduated from Stadium High School and worked at Fort Lewis for several years before marrying the love of her life, Bob Babare. She spent the rest of her life as a devoted wife and mother to her husband and four children. She was a devout Catholic and loved taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining, traveling and reading. She is survived by two brothers, Joe Keely (Maggie), Tim Keely (Sharon), her four children, Mary Joe Glisson (Gary), Cynthia Babare, Bob Babare (Wendy), and Laurie Anderson, 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Magill (JJ), Valerie Wolpert (Chris), Stephanie Moppin (Tyler), Ashley Glisson, Lindsey Chambers (Jake), Haley Babare, Drew Babare, Kris Babare, Katy Aldridge, Kelly Rakich, Shane Anderson, and 7 great-grandchildren, Ciara Babare, Neveah Glisson, Isabella Magill, Cara Wolpert, Ezra Chambers, and Cordelia and Witten Aldridge. Gwen's parting words to all who knew her were: God Bless You! I love you with all my heart! She truly meant every word and so do we as our response. A Rosary will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 7:00 pm with a Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 12, 2011, 11:00 am also at Holy Cross.
