Obituary Gregory "Paco" Wong Gregory "Paco" Wong was born on December 30, 1953 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was called to serve the Lord on March 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. Greg attended Punahou School and upon graduating left the islands to attend the University of Puget Sound where he received his Master's in Business Administration Degree in 1975. He then began his career with New York Life in January 1976 and has been a financial advisor with them for the past 39 years. Greg always believed in giving back to the community he called "Home". Over the years, he has served on the following Boards to help make Tacoma a better place to live: Big Brothers / Big Sisters, Asian American Alliance, Tacoma Pierce County Life Underwriters, Catholic Community Services, Peninsula Youth Football, South Sound Planned Giving Council, and his favorite, the Make a Wish Foundation of Alaska and Washington, of which he is a founding trustee. Greg is survived by his soul mate and wife of 34 years, Lalaine; children, Sid, Sheri (Scott), Megan (Michael), and Matt; grandchildren, Drake, Kyra, Mekaila, and Kalista. His sisters, Barbara (Scott) and Carol May; brother, Rick (Tammy) and numerous nieces and nephews also make up the "Wong Clan". A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7112 South 12th Street, Tacoma, WA 98465.
