Obituary Gregory Lynn Hand Vietnam Veteran Greg was born on October 22, 1946 to Bill and Jo Ann Hand in Tacoma, WA. Greg graduated from Stadium High School and Pierce College, with an AS Degree in Computer Science. Greg joined the US Air Force in 1965. He served in Vietnam from December 24, 1966 until December 24, 1967. He was a Disabled Vietnam Veteran. He worked for many years installing main switches for telephone systems before becoming fully disabled. His work took him from Alaska to Antarctica and from Washington to Florida, working for civilian and government agencies. While on the road, he often lent his back-stage talents to local theater groups. Recently, because of his love for music, he really enjoyed his opportunity to DJ on the internet and making special CD's for family and friends. Greg, like many Vietnam Veterans, visited the Wall in Washington, DC, and was a volunteer for the traveling exhibit when it was put on view here. Greg was proud of his service and believed the war was a noble cause. He never forgot his comrades in arms. Greg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Michael Ann Konek (Jim), an uncle, Kenneth Hand (Kathy), an aunt, Dorothy Barger, nephew Paul Konek, Dubai U.A.E., niece Salli Brandon (Mike), niece Elizabeth Casey (Scott), Grand Prairie, TX, great-nieces Sophia, Alexis, Bella Maria and Amelia Jo Ann Casey, great-nephew Collin Brandon and many cousins.
