Obituary GLENN SIMPSON Glenn Brooks Simpson passed away peacefully on the morning of Jan. 28, 2009 at home in University Place, WA with his beloved wife Elaine at his side. Glenn was born Oct. 28, 1923 in Cashmere, WA and grew up in the Wenatchee Valley. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1945. He served as a naval officer on the USS Saratoga during WWII, and troop transport duty during the Korean conflict. Glenn married his dance partner Elaine Small of Sedro-Wooley in 1948. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2008. He worked 26 years at NW Drug Co. as Asst. Treasurer, then as Treasurer for Don Small & Sons Oil 16 years until retirement. He was a life member of BPOE #174 Tacoma, and VFW post #3057 Westport. Glenn is survived by his wife Elaine, brother Don Simpson and sister-in-law Monika of Olympia, daughter Wendy Buklis and son-in-law Larry of Anchorage, AK, son Dave Simpson and daughter-in-law Lynn of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Amanda, Sam, Steven, and Teresa, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Glenn loved camping, hiking, skiing, hunting, and fishing and shared these adventures with his cherished family. Service to be held Feb. 5, 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, 7112 So. 12th, Tacoma, WA. Reception following. Please leave online condolences at www.GaffneyCares.com.
