Gerald Bernard Bock

Gerald Bock, affectionately known as Bernie or Jerry, passed away January 2nd, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 91.

Jerry was a Korean War Veteran with the United States Air Force. He was well respected for his dedication to the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for 39 years. He enjoyed his time working at the Puyallup Fairgrounds (Grandstand Gate #12) for 40 years, and shared the same enthusiasm working the sporting events at University of Puget Sound (Basketball and Football, in particular).

He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Jean, and their six children: Karen (Guy), Glenn, Lori, Julia, Kirk (Ericka), and Daniel (Ann), as well as his 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his infant son, David (1967). 

Our family gives great gratitude to the caregivers at Starview Care Home and Franciscan Hospice Care.

A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Tacoma, Washington on Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 11:00am. A reception will follow the service.
