Georgia Mae Mcphee

December 13, 1923 — April 9, 2013

Obituary Georgia Mae (Lynch) McPhee Georgia Mae Lynch was born to Phillip and Iris Lynch, on December 13, 1923 in Aberdeen, Washington. Losing her mother at a young age, it was her namesake and grandmother, Georgia Thompson, who raised her. She graduated from Olympia High School and Dietz Business College. On June 20, 1945 she married William A. McPhee, sharing their lives for 66 years until his passing in 2011. They were blessed with, and are survived by, nine children, Kathy (Earl) Bowyer, Diane (Art) Joyner, Scott (Hope) McPhee, Colleen (John) Swesey, Brad (Nancy) McPhee, Mark (Molly) McPhee, Maureen (Mark) Pfister, Bryce (Alice) McPhee and James (Dana) McPhee. They took pride in their 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her only sister, Mary Zeigler, of Pasco, WA, survives Georgia. Georgia was devoted to her family, friends and her work with the Catholic Woman's Club. She loved golfing and dancing. Nana, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, loved her family dearly and never missed a birthday, anniversary or special event in their lives. She had a way of making each grandchild feel unique, special and deeply loved. Georgia will be missed by many but is now in heaven with her late husband, the love of her life. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on April 24, 2013 at 11:00am. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff in the Recollection Unit at Narrows Glen & Franciscan Hospice for the love, care and affection they gave our mother, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Catholic Community Services. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home, 253-572-6003.
