George Schwingler

Obituary George W. Schwingler October 7, 1940 - December 1, 2013 George was born in Medelia Minnesota and died in Gig Harbor, Washington after a prolonged battle with Wegener's disease. George was a retired union carpenter and an avid sports fan and gardener. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was deeply devoted to his wife Betty of 38 years, his children and grandchildren. Family members include his wife Betty, son Scott Post, daughter Doranna Ennis and four grandchildren Jacob, Lucas, Alexander and Katherine. He is also survived by his brothers Jim and Bob Schwingler and many nieces and nephews. Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Joseph Hospital, Frank Trevino and Doreen Locati for their acts of compassion that went above and beyond any of our expectations.
