Obituary George William Prichard Born in Loup City, Nebraska on July 19, 1922 to Robert and Margaret Prichard, George William Prichard passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the age of 92. Following his high school graduation in 1941, George joined the United States Coast Guard, and served during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Upon completion of his military service, George attended the University of Denver, earning a bachelor's degree in business. He went on to have a successful career in sales. While in Denver he met and married Katherine E. Molacek, who preceded him in death. They raised three children in Tacoma; Pat (Sandy), Peggy, and Mike (Cheri) Prichard. His children gave him five grandchildren; Andrew (Stephanie), Sam (Nicole), Matt (Mindee), Rob (Katy) and Danny. He was also blessed with 7 great grandchildren; Sadie, Gavin, Sebastian, Audrey, Charlotte, Miles & Liam. George always loved a game of Pinochle, Bridge, Canasta, or Solitaire with family, friends and neighbors. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, December 1st, at 7pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec 2nd at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Church (520 S 30th, Tacoma). Interment with full military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Holy Rosary School in Tacoma, or a charity of your choice in his memory. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
