George Edwin Petersen

Obituary George Edwin Petersen Sr. 2/15/1926 - 8/5/2011 George passed away peacefully with family by his side. George served in the Navy on a Mine Sweeper during WWII and the Korean War. He worked in the automotive field until retirement. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of 62 years and sons, G. Edwin Jr (Barbara), Larry and Mike; daughter, Debbie Hagadorn; grandchildren, J.J. and Kris Petersen, Chad Hagadorn and Kyle Petersen; great-grandchild, McKinsey Lynn (Petersen); brothers, Don, Arlie, and Tom Petersen, and sister, Jan Bowman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth Petersen and brother, Gene Petersen. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 11, 2011, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home.
