George Arnold Bader

Obituary George A. Bader Jr. August 7, 1928 - March 7, 2013 George, 84, was born in Tacoma, WA, the third of seven children to parents George and Hilda Bader. He attended Holy Rosary grade school and graduated from Bellarmine High School, class of 1946. He served in the U.S Marine Corps for 21 years and subsequently worked for the Boeing Co. for 32 years. He was an active member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Everett and St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Lakewood. Survivors include his wife, Tamara who he married on October 6, 1962; his son Scott (Jeanette); his daughters: Jolene, Karlene (Suzanne Bernardo), Virginia (Lance) Fredrickson, and Sandra (Brent) Quebedeaux; his grandchildren: Bryan, Emilie, & Kayleigh Bader, Lauren & Emma Fredrickson, and Colin Quebedeaux; his brother Arthur (Betty) Bader; his sisters: Loretta (Arthur) Boyle, Lorraine (Charles) Ross; brother-in-laws: Robert (Boots) Friedhoff and Gregory (Maria) Jennings; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hilda Bader; sisters Hilda (Dennis) Gallagher, Bernadette (Bob) Treleven, and Rosemary Friedhoff. Rosary will be recited Monday, March 11, 2013, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 12, 2013, 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Lakewood, WA. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, WA.
