Geni Marie Kheriaty

Obituary GENI (MENCONI) KHERIATY Geni Kheriaty, 87, our loving mother & grandmother passed away peacefully on September 21, 2008. She was a lifelong resident of Tacoma, WA. Geni graduated from Lincoln High School in1938. She successfully spent her career in retail where she began at Redrich's Drugstore in South Tacoma, then owned & operated a Ben Franklin Store in North Tacoma & later retired as a department manager for K-Mart Corp. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Menconi & Fannie Rafanti Menconi Lanzetta (both Immigrants from Lucca, Italy) and by her brother Louie Menconi & step-brother Tony Lanzetta. Geni's tenacious loyalty & love will always be felt by her son Paul Kheriaty (Teri), her daughter Diane Thomas (Willard) & grandchildren Charles & Alicia Thomas & Alex Kheriaty. Geni is also survived & loved by her best friend & "sis" Marie (Menconi) Bernardo (Tony) and many nieces & nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at10:30 am on Friday, September 26, 2008 at St. Rita Catholic Church at 1403 S. Ainsworth. The family sincerely thanks the Tacoma Lutheran Home & Franciscan Hospice for their kindness & care, & suggests memorial contributions be made to Franciscan Hospice in Geni's name.
