Obituary Genevieve Klein February 1, 1930- September 20, 2011 Genevieve Klein (Dosch) 81, was born February 1, 1930, to Marcus and Magdalena (Reiter) Dosch, in Karlsruhe, ND. She grew up on the farm and learned at an early age the true value of hard work and ethics. After leaving the farm, she worked in the medical field at various hospitals from Minot, ND to Boston, MA and then Wenatchee, WA. It was there, in Wenatchee, that she met her husband John. On November 13, 1954 they were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, just six weeks after meeting. This was the beginning of her next journey in life; Her marriage to John for nearly 57 years and the births of their children. The first 22 years of their marriage were spent as an Air Force/Army family. The family traveled to many countries including Japan and Spain, but always ended up back in the Northwest. Genevieve lived in Tacoma, WA for about 42 years and has been a member of Visitation Parish all of her years in Tacoma. She loved gardening and sewing very much and was a truly gifted seamstress. She sewed for years and made many baptismal and wedding gowns and countless other projects. Also, she was the First Lady of Washington State's Knights of Columbus. Genevieve is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Wendlin and Edward and her sister Margaret Kories. She is survived by her loving husband John and their 11 loving and loyal children, Brenda, Timothy, Cynthia Stabbert (Paul), Gregory (Patricia), Diane Stone (Steven), Michele Olsen (Douglas), Keith, Nancy Arland (Rick), Jeffrey (Claudia), Sonja Dooley (Glenn), her favorite child Larry, 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Genevieve is also survived by her sister Agnes Halvorson (Edward), brothers Albert Dosch (Joyce), Leonard Dosch (Shirley), Henry Dosch (Janice),her sister-in-law Elaine Dosch , many nieces and nephews and her best friend Janet Huke. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Visitation Catholic Church on Friday, September 23 at 11:30am. A rosary will be recited immediately preceding the funeral at 11. Any remembrances should be made to Visitation Catholic School. Genevieve's family is always growing with one grandchild and 6 great-grandchildren on the way. She always had a houseful.
