Obituary Fredrick Owens Fred Owens, 86, born in Smithwick, SD, died January 25, 2008. He retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1981. Fred was a longtime member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, bowling, walking for fitness and watching sports. Fred was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte. He is survived by daughters; Janet Bubnis, Patricia (Peter) Anderson, sons; Robert (Sue Ann McGraw) Owens, James Owens, grandchildren; Michael Bubnis, Jonathan Bubnis, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Weller, William Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am prior to Mass. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery.
