The story of Frank begins on Wednesday, August 23rd 1944. Frank was born and raised in the Tacoma area to parents Frank Sr. Matesa and Evelyn Ludwig. Having a split family, Frank had three brothers and a sister that he grew up with and loved very much. Frank attended St. Ann Catholic school during his grade school years and remained religious throughout his adult life. He would live his life in the surounding area building a home with his bare hands just a few miles away.
In his early career, Frank found success in the automotive industry doing body work for Oldsmobile, Kimball's Body Shop, and finishing his automative career at Erickson's Auto Body. Frank switched careers in 1976 becoming a longshoreman at the Port of Tacoma Local 23. Frank worked for an additional 26 years and would fully retire in 2002.
Frank had numerous hobbies that he enjoyed including hunting, fishing, collecting model trains, and doing yard work. Other past times include watching movies; his favorites including Sicario and John Wick and watching Tucker Carlson at 5 PM.
Frank would meet Susan Jordan at King's Drive-In where she would offer to buy him a cola. They would eventually get married in 1964 and share a son, Jeffrey Matesa. Frank and Susan were married for nearly 40 years until her passing in 2009
Frank would once again get married to Wendi Stewart in the summer of 2018. Frank, Wendi, and Penny would live peacefully until his passing on October 19th 2022.
Today, Frank is remembered by his wife Wendi, his son Jeff, his grandchildren Ryan and Tanner, and his great-granddaughter Leia
