Francis H Chapin

Obituary Francis H. Chapin, Jr. Francis H. Chapin, Jr. Born January 14, 1929; passed away on January 8, 2013. He is now reunited with his wife Jane, daughter Sandra, and God in Heaven. Francis served in the United States Navy and graduated from the University of Washington with a law degree. He was employed by the City of Tacoma prior to his retirement. His passions included family, travel, golf and fishing, spending time at his cabin in Tokeland. He is survived by his sisters Darlene Dennewith and Phyllis Ramsdale (Weiss), brothers George and Richard Chapin, daughters Suzanne (Pat Coleman), Valerie, Elizabeth Bates (Carl Bates), and Michele, sons Francis (Barbara Shelman), Brian (Donna), and Michael (Beth) Chapin, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Francis' funeral service will be held at 12:10 Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 710 South 13th Street, Tacoma WA. The family suggests that donations may be made to Catholic Community Services in lieu of flowers.
