Obituary Fr. Matthew Naumes, O.S.B. Fr. Matthew Naumes, O.S.B. born William Patrick Naumes, June 16, 1936 at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The son of Edward and Lottie Naumes. Father died peacefully at St Joseph's Hospital, Tacoma, WA August 13, 2018 from ongoing complications suffered from being shot preparing for Mass in 1991. His Duties as a Catholic Priest included: President of St Martin's College, Member of Washington State Board of Prison Terms & Parole, Judicial Vicar, Archdioceses, and Canon Penitentiary. Requiem Mass celebrated at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 602 S 34th Street Tacoma, WA, August 23, 2018 at 11:30am. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
