Florence M Van Noy

Obituary Florence M. Van Noy Florence Marie Van Noy, born October 20, 1918 in Tyndall S.D. died April 10, 2012 in Tumwater WA. She was the oldest child born to Joseph and Frances Szymanski. Following graduation from High School Florence moved to Tacoma and worked as a secretary in a local mill. It was there she met and later married Jack Van Noy on September 5, 1940. They were married for 54 years before his death in October of 1994. Florence and Jack were longtime members of St. Patrick Catholic Church where they were active volunteers. Florence also enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, the beach house on Murray Island and trips back to South Dakota. Her sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Florence is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, Anita and Jerry Coonc, Olympia, Nancy and Rick Heath, Puyallup, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddauther as well as her brother Pete Szymanski, Tyndall, S.D. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 16, 2012, 11:00 am Calvary Cemetery.
