Favius Ezra Witenberg

Obituary Favius Ezra "Fav" Witenberg December 14, 1915 - May 14, 2008 Fav Witenberg was born in Tacoma and lived there for most of his 92 years, and died May 14, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian, who died shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary in 1995. His sister, Ruth Levy, also predeceased him. Fav was an owner of Liberty Finance Company for over 50 years, a pillar of the Tacoma Jewish community, and a 40 year treasurer of Home of Peace Cemetery. He will be remembered as a humble father, grandfather, mentor, historian, humanitarian, philosopher, and friend. Fav is survived by his son, Bruce Witenberg and his wife Nancy, his daughter, Toby Israel, his grandchildren, Shawn and Kellie Israel and Alex Witenberg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be Friday, May 16th at 11:00am at Home of Peace Cemetery. 5421 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA.
