Dr. Eunice V. Robeck, a loved follower of Jesus, passed on to Heaven on January 13, 2024. She was born in Everett, WA to Rev. Andrew and Myrtle Robeck and at a young age accepted
Christ as her Savior. She graduated from Aberdeen High School.
Eunice taught English and French at Lakes High School in Lakewood, WA for over 30 years and was also the English Dept Chair. Later in life she chose to go back to school and received her
doctorate in Theology from The University of Washington.
She had the opportunity to travel and witness the Passion Play in Oberammergau. She sang in her brother-in-law’s church choirs at First Covenant Church and First Presbyterian Church in
Tacoma. Eunice loved traveling the world with family and friends, downhill skiing, singing in choirs, playing the organ, her grand piano and xylophone. She especially loved playing her
grand piano and even had her house built around it for refined acoustics. Eunice took painting classes and had quite an artistic talent for it. She wrote beautiful poetry and loved helping edit or
critique any literature or school papers for her great nephew, Sam.
She cared for her parents in their final years and then went on to build her dream home in North Tacoma overlooking Puget Sound, a few blocks away from her sister, Kathryn and her husband,
Don Sundquist. Several years later she helped her niece, Julie, care for Don and Kathryn in their final years.
Eunice is survived by her three nieces: Carol (Ron and son Chase), Julie (Brian and son Sam) and Susan (Bill). She also leaves her sister-in-law Carol Robeck and cousins Barbara Hatloe.
Cindy Peterson, and many relatives, including those in Sweden and Finland.
Burial at New Tacoma Cemetery will be Feb 10th at 11:30am. Memorial service will also be held Feb 10th 2pm at First Presbyterian Church of Tacoma on 20th Street.
