Eugene Minnitti

Obituary EUGENE MINNITTI, Eugene was called home to the Lord at the age of 89 on October 27, 2005. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years Charlotte and their son Gene. Gene was born in Carbonado, WA and moved to Tacoma where he graduated from Bellarmine Prep. He served in the Army during WWII and went to work for Tacoma Boatbuilding Company after he was honorably discharged in 1945. He enjoyed playing pinochle, fishing, hunting with friends and his faithful dog Baron. Gene was a member of St. Patrick's Church, The Italian Lodge, B.P.O. Elks 174, AMVETS Post #5 and International Association of Machinists. Eugene will be greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and Marvin Hicks, grandchildren PJ, Jennifer, Molly and Casey O'Malley, great-grandsons Jonathon, Christopher and Ethan, as well as his brother Dave (Jo) Minnitti, sisters-in-law Lena Jelusich and Rachel Minnitti, brother-in-law Leno Boni, nieces nephews and family friends. Special thanks to the caregivers at Olympic Alzheimer's, Cottesmore and Hospice Care Facilities for their kindness to our father Eugene. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 3, 2005, 11:00a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 N. 44th, Tacoma, WA 98407.
